
Doug Christy, our Executive Management Coach, graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, he quickly discovered during his first position with a major railroad that people, not engineering, was his passion. He was the first promoted supervisor out of his class of 24 engineers, and quickly moved up the ranks during his 20 year career with CSX Corporation (11 promotions during this time). His 20 years at CSX served as a tremendous venue for gaining critical experience for his next decade of executive leadership and business ownership in both the public and private sector.
After the sale of his contracting company, Doug performed independent consulting for some close associates he worked with during his career. From developing a business plan, to establishing a marketing strategy, to assisting on engineering projects, he discovered he was drifting from his true compassion - people. It was during this time that he began researching the profession of business coaching and was introduced to the Professional Business Coaches Alliance (PBCA). He completed his training and licensing and now is an active member of the PBCA while living out his passion of coaching - something he had been preparing for his entire career.
Sandler Training has also helped our new hires become productive far more rapidly than what is considered the industry norm.
